After performing the full business analysis, JCommerce has begun the Data Warehouse implementation project at Squared Financial Ltd.
Analysis of the existing data structures, business processes and reporting needs was only the first stage of the project. Then, the new Data Warehouse has been built, which laid the foundations for the Business Intelligence class system. It was fed with data from one transactional platform. As part of the implementation work carried out, JCommerce specialists have designed and implemented the relevant mapping tables and ETL processes. Currently, the implementation of the first reports and analyses is carried out.
An increase of the number of production systems from which the source data will be loaded to the Data Warehouse has been already planned in the next stages of the project. Ultimately, the Data Warehouse will retrieve data from the remaining transactional platforms, which will give users fast, flexible and easy access to consolidated information. The implementation process will continue until December 2016.
The scope of the project is to create a dedicated solution for a complex greenfield insurance and finance system.
A complex management system was built from modules that share information between each other: contract module, module for applications processing, sales negotiation module, accounting module and billing module. Within the next few months, several micro-services will be created and integrated with parts of the existing application environment.
Cooperation within the team leasing model – 30 developers: project coordinator/SCRUM masters, IT architects, business analysts, Front-End specialists, Java programmers and testers.
The project started in July 2016 and is intended to be finalized in 2018.
